This text is meant for those who dare thread on the edges of law by sharing software, music and other content by finding ‘pubs’ and filling them using FXP-dumps. To avoid the chance of being detected by revealing ones IP, one should always use a proxy server that will cloak your identity. This is a tutorial about finding a proxy that works without having to scan endless ranges of Ip’s for ports with programs like ping and proxyhunter.

Chant the following line 100 times a day:

“ I am smarter than the rest of the world “

Now, in your case this might not be true but what I’m trying to say here is that instead of doing all the work yourself, you can use the work done by others in your advantage. Making you the top of the food chain.

So all you need is other people doing your work. The problem is they don’t do a good job at it, that’s because they’re not as smart as you. But In this case getting their bad work and fixing it will save you a lot of time.

1. Getting started.

In order to scan those proxies you will need the following:

a.     A list of proxies found by others

b.     Proxyhunter (

c.     Excel

2.  Getting a list of proxies made by others

Use search engines ( / / to find public proxy lists. Now what you will find are 2 kinds of proxies:

1.      Public open

2.      Private proxies

Public open proxies like and are nice when you want to go about the Internet without everybody knowing who you are, BUT THESE ARE NO GOOD IF YOU ARE GOING TO DO ANYTHING ILLEGAL!!!!! They will turn your real IP over to the authorities the second someone asks for it. They will not take the blame for anything you do. So forget about public proxies.

Private proxies are proxies owned by small companies that don’t have a good sysop. Or universities and large bureaucratic companies that don’t know what the fuck they should do with the hundreds of computers they own. These are the kinds we’re looking for. Some of these proxies can be found on the pages listed above. These contain hundreds of proxies, but only a fraction will work.

3. Proxyhunter

Proxyhunter is a program designed to scan Ip-ranges for proxies you can use. The problem is that there are 255 X 255 X 255 X 255 = !!! possible IP’s to scan. If you were able to scan 25 of these a second (which is about average with a fast connection) it would take you about 5,5 years to complete the task for each port your trying.  If you’re looking for a ftp-proxy and a Wingate-proxy you’ll be finished in about 11 years, by then all of them will be gone because these types of proxies will no longer exist!

The one thing proxy-hunter is good at is keeping track of those proxies that do work or did work ones. It has the ability to store all the proxies it found and check them whenever you what it to.  But here’s the trick. Instead of looking for proxies yourself you input the proxies found and listed on the pages you found in chapter 2. The best way to do this is to copy&paste all the lines containing information about the proxies to notepad and saving it as a text file.  This text file could look something like this: 2992 100-02-18 7728 100-01-14 18028 100-02-06 10821 100-02-03 6011 100-01-11 13521 100-02-05 13521 100-01-29 1005 100-01-09 12575 100-03-02 3498 100-01-18 3699 100-03-02 2714 100-03-01

Now for the tricky part. Open Excel and under ‘DATA’ select ‘GET EXTERNAL DATA’  and choose ‘IMPORT TXT FILE’. You should now get this screen:

Here you choose Delimited (it usually is standard). And click next

Select ‘space’ and ‘treat consecutive….’

You will see that the IPs / addresses are separated from the rest of the yada-yada. Click ‘Finish’ and ‘ok’

Now you will have an excel-sheet with several columns. Remove all but the one looking like this:

The next thing to do is to is to add something to all lines. What you should add depends on the type op proxy you are looking for:

Type of proxy

Thing to add

SOCKS 4 & 5

(I assume that the Ips and addresses start In cell A1)

To append the text type the following formula in cell B1

Now select this cell (B1) and click your left mouse-cursor on the little black corner of cell B1. Drag down all the way to the last entry.

Now a copy of all the found addresses with the “@SOCKS” appended should be in column B.

Select all entries in column B and copy paste them into a new text file, save it.

Start proxyhunter, go to the results-tab and select ‘import’. Open the text file you’ve just made. And click verify.

You are now one the way of getting those proxies. Now when you get results that are good. It’s a good idea to scan that entire range, because more proxies are to found surrounding most a single one!
